Dear Parents,

St Bernard’s Prep is a school, but also an employer and just as your own employer will have wellbeing practices in place I too, as the Head, must always look after my staff.  I would like to highlight that they too are working from home and juggling their lives with their own children and families, as the majority of the world now has to.  I am asking you to be mindful and remember that we are all doing our very best in an extremely testing situation.

In the same way that you, I am sure, are looking forward to your lovely children having time away from the computer screen with next Friday’s bank holiday, I too am looking forward to my staff taking a well-earned break from their screens.

I would like to wish you all a happy weekend and I pray that you can take some time out and enjoy what promises to be a sunny weekend.

This week's news:

This week has seen the introduction of Mrs Bowen's Maths Challenge on our social media and there has been a brilliant response. Well done to everyone who has taken part.  Mrs Bowen has also set a fun Maths Challenge for the weekend, suitable for all the family, which is available to print off from the Home Learning Hub.

Mr Barendse's fitness and skills videos have been very popular with the children and next week there will also be some challenges to get a bit of healthy competition going.

The Year 1s have been busy and Miss Bohannon would like to share how proud she is of them and the beautiful artwork they have produced this week. They have also begun to have 1:1 meetings  on CISCO Webex and next week will see the start of small group lessons on this platform. Well done Year 1.
