Year 3

Dear Year 3,

What a year it has been! Who could have predicted that when we welcomed Sukhmani, Evan, Iyanuoluwa and Mahaayana (and Miss Mehta!) with Father Kevin's blessing, that we would be finishing the school year like this?

Advent Term

Our Advent term began with a wonderful afternoon at the Royal Albert Hall, our Magic of Books and CAFOD assemblies. We celebrated Guardian Angels with bun and apples day and Bollywood dancing!

In the lead up to Christmas we lead the Christingle service in preparation for Advent and were visited by a couple of Father Christmas's reindeer.  We sang carols at Windsor Castle, sent prayer bags to Holy Family and finished with a Christmas party.

Lent Term

At the beginning of term we welcomed Kabir into our year group. Our assemblies were about Journeys and Kenya.  We had a school trip to Chiltern Open Air Museum and Hailee and Aryaman represented us in a General Knowledge quiz at Davenies School, where we came 4th.

Pentecost

We welcomed Oscar into our year at the beginning of the Pentecost term, and quite soon after began remote learning, which has taught us a whole new skill set! We didn't let lockdown stop us though, as we all dressed up for a Roman experience day. We created out own erupting volcanos, learnt about great artists (and produced some amazing work of our own).  We've baked, painted, drawn and generally excelled ourselves in some very difficult circumstances.  We have learned how to be resilient, independent learners with great ICT skills.

Throughout the year, all children have maintained a high level of enthusiasm, a love of learning and a positive attitude. This year, they have developed their team work skills through experiments and investigations whilst showing a high level of perseverance they all should be incredibly proud of!

We are looking forward to seeing you all grow and develop; spiritually, socially and academically in Transition.
