Year 1

Dear Year 1s,

It is pouring with rain outside but my heart is full of sunshine as I read your wonderful memories from being in Prep this year.  Favourite pieces of work, certificates, assemblies, Christmas party, Victorian day, our visit to the theatre, seeing my cats appearing in my lockdown videos, bubbles, handwashing, best friends and fun! Your list goes on and on and I am delighted that despite an unusual year, your minds are full of positive thoughts.

I am so very proud of the way each and every one of you have adapted you learning habits and engaged with remote learning. I am particularly proud of our kindness awards and how brilliant you have all become at noticing when other people do kind things for you as well as the many, many kind deeds you have done for others.

This week, in our class call I read to you the story, The Invisible String by Patrice Karst. The book tells how everyone in the world is connected by invisible strings of love and that no matter where you are. You are not alone. This is my end of year message to each one of you. No matter what you do or where you are the invisible string of love and kindness stretches from here at St. Bernard’s out to you.

I cannot wait to see you all in September.

Miss Bohannon x
