Dear Parents,

It has been an amazing last week (and a bit) at St Bernard's Prep as we conclude the Spring term on a high note! The week was filled with laughter, learning, dancing, well-being, and culminated with Remove's emotional performance of the Passion of Christ.

The children poured their hearts into a sensitive portrayal of the events leading up to the crucifixion and the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ. They vividly brought this profoundly significant event in Christianity to life. The entire school was captivated by their powerful acting and beautiful hymns.

On Tuesday, we hosted an amazing Whole School Wellbeing Extravaganza! It included engaging Lego therapy sessions where children collaborated, built, and enhanced their problem-solving skills while boosting creativity. The event also featured mindful meditation, providing children with a chance to find inner peace and learn relaxation techniques. Additionally, there was a gratitude activity where children expressed appreciation for life's small joys, reflecting on what they were grateful for. The day wouldn't be complete without Creative Dance, allowing children to express themselves through diverse dance styles and unleash their creativity in a fun and artistic manner, alongside other delightful Wellbeing activities. Everyone had a fabulous day and the school was buzzing with happiness.

Year 1 Assembly

Last Friday, our talented Year 1 children captivated everyone with their remarkable "News Report" Assembly centered around Holi, the Festival of Colours celebrated by Hindus, representing the victory of good over evil. Year 1 students portrayed the colourful narrative of this festival as news reporters, drawing insightful connections with celebrations from various faiths. The assembly fostered a delightful sense of togetherness, as children, teachers, and parents in attendance came together for a lively dance performance filled with joy and positive vibes spreading throughout the room.

Easter Egg Hunts

Many Easter egg hunts were organised around the school today, and it was very egg-citing! Our children had a wonderful time searching for hidden eggs and unravelling tricky clues. They were so excited to find vibrant eggs tucked away in surprising spots. The school was filled with happiness and laughter.

I would also like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to FOP's for their incredible generosity and thoughtfulness this Easter. They have made our children's Easter extra special by gifting each one of them with a delicious Easter egg.

Other Netball News  GX Storm

Four girls from year 6 have been chosen to represent the Gerrards Cross netball team in the High Wycombe U11 league. Despite only having played three matches together and training for one term, they defeated the 'Marlow Kites' team, who were the top performers in the winter league. The Marlow coach commended Storm as their toughest competition yet, making this victory all the more thrilling.

The final score was 6-11 in favor of GX Storm. Manpreet's exceptional defense earned her the player of the match title, collaborating effectively with Ayesha. Ellie, a standout Center player, worked tirelessly to pass the ball to GS Shaan for scoring opportunities.
