Dear Parents,

What an absolute treat this week to watch the Early Years Nativity, Snuggle Up Stable! The little ones truly brought the festive spirit to life with their charming performances and adorable costumes. It was so uplifting to see their enthusiasm as they stepped into character, capturing the essence of the Christmas story in such a delightful way. The laughter and joy that filled the hall were infectious, reminding us all of the magic of this season.

I just wanted to take a moment to send a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing staff members who contributed to making this year's nativity such a tremendous success, your unwavering support and dedication truly shone through in the achievements of our youngest children.

Events like these are beautiful reminders of the incredible school community we have built together. It’s a place where every child has the chance to shine and show their unique talents.

As we dive deeper into December, let’s keep that festive spirit alive and look forward to more exciting activities in the weeks ahead!

Music Concert

This afternoon, we were treated to an absolutely spectacular music concert featuring our talented children as they showcased their skills on a  variety of instruments. From strings to brass, percussion to woodwinds, our young performers exhibited an impressive range of talent that filled the hall with joy and creativity.

Each performance stood as a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our young musicians. It was amazing to observe them take the stage with confidence, demonstrating their abilities. Whether it was the soft melodies of the violin or the powerful notes of the trumpet, each child played with passion and enthusiasm.

I was especially proud of the encouraging atmosphere fostered by our audience, with parents, staff, and classmates cheering on our performers as they poured their hearts into every note. It was truly heart-warming to witness the spirit of camaraderie and determination shine through!

A huge thank-you goes out to our committed music teacher, Dr Bunce, and the peripatetic instructors for their steadfast guidance and support, nurturing these emerging artists. We eagerly anticipate watching them grow and further develop their talents in the future.

Wellbeing Weekend Wisdom

Our wellbeing weekend of the term is here! We hope you all have a lovely weekend with no homework and enjoy spending quality time with your families!

We are also very much looking forward to introducing you to our new pupil wellbeing champions next week. If you haven’t got your application in yet, and you are a pupil in Trans, Upper Trans or Remove, who is keen to help support the wellbeing of all the members of our school community, then there is still time!

If you would like to apply, please can you write a short letter detailing why you think you would be a great wellbeing champion and any ideas you have to help support wellbeing at our school. Please could all letters be handed in to Mrs Young by Monday 2nd December.

The very first job for our new wellbeing champions will be our Christmas wellbeing day! On Wednesday 11th December we will be coming off timetable again to focus on mental health and wellbeing for a day. This day will be filled with mindful Christmas activities to help all the children relax and enjoy the company of their friends before the Christmas holidays.

It has already been a term filled with mindful moments; wellbeing Wednesdays, parent wellbeing coffee mornings, an October wellbeing day and a few wellbeing weekends. We can’t wait to start implementing more wellbeing boosting initiatives thought up by our wellbeing champions next term!

SPORT NEWS

Under 9 Netball Tournament at The Marist

On Friday the 15th of November, our Under 9 Netball team participated at The Marist Netball Tournament. Our girls were super enthusiastic throughout the event and played outstanding netball for their first competitive tournament. Everyone got to rotate positions and some good goals were scored as a result of brilliant team work and great team chemistry on the courts. We played a total of 7 matches on the day, winning 1, drawing 4 and losing 1. Well done to all the players and congratulations to Avaani for being nominated as our team’s MVP for the day.

Under 10 Rugby vs Claire’s Court

Last Friday, our Under 10 Rugby team travelled to Maidenhead to play against Claire’s Court in their final match of the year.  Our boys were absolutely unbelievable on the pitch! Considering the results that went against us a few weeks back, our players pulled themselves together, and bounced back to produce one of the finest performances we have seen on a rugby field this year.  We won the match 13-12 in what was a close contested wrestle, with some very big hits and tackles being made. Our passing and offloading game was out of this world and our boys scored some brilliant team and individual tries. Well done to the whole team, but special mention must be made to Pranav for his all-round presence on the field, Shrey for his pace and Younis for making a try-saving tackle to ensure the win. Well done gentlemen!

Under 9 Rugby at Caldicott

On Tuesday, our Under 9A&B Rugby Teams travelled to Farnham Royal to play in a triangular fixture vs both the hosts, Caldicott and the other visiting school, Davenies. These were our boys' first contact matches of the season and they were certainly up for the challenge. Both our A and B teams played 2 matches each. Our A Team beat the hosts, Caldicott, 8-7 and lost narrowly to Davenies 6-7, while our B’s beat Caldicott 12-10 and lost 1-4 to Davenies. All of our players showed plenty of fighting spirit and as a result, we scored fantastic tries and made some big tackles throughout the afternoon. Congratulations to all of our players and a special well done to both Ryan and Pranay for being nominated as MVPs for their teams on the day.
