Dear Parents

I was genuinely thrilled to welcome all the children back into school this week, being greeted by so many smiling faces has been wonderful. The buzz in the classrooms and corridors is contagious, and it is bringing a bright and positive energy to the year ahead.

From what I have seen, smiles and laughter have been in abundance during this first week. Children have been sharing stories about their holidays, showing off their new uniforms, and catching up with friends they have not seen since July. It is also wonderful to witness the formation of new friendships and rekindling of old ones.

Our amazing team of dedicated teachers and staff have been working tirelessly to create a warm and supportive environment for all the children. They have greeted everyone with open arms and are ready to guide, inspire, and challenge them to achieve their very best over the coming months.

As the year takes off, there's a whirlwind of activities waiting just around the corner. We have included a 'dates for your diary' section below on this newsletter

We are looking forward to an extraordinary year. Let us make this a year filled with growth, learning, and endless possibilities. Welcome back, let us do amazing things together!

Proud Teachers

I have heard from all the teachers throughout the school this week, expressing how proud they are of how our children have settled in to their new classes, here is what they had to say...

Early Years

Early Years have settled well into their new classes. They have had a busy week making friends and learning together. We have been singing , dancing, counting, writing and most of all having lots of fun.

Year 1

The Yr 1 children have made a great start to the school year. They are demonstrating a 'can do' attitude in adjusting from EY to life in KS1. We are so proud of you all already.

Year 2

We have had a fantastic start to the new academic year. The children have all returned with smiles on their faces ready to embrace the new learning and routines of Upper Prep. It has been lovely to welcome our new pupils to the year group. In English, the children have enjoyed being introduced to 'The Crow's Tale' and have already produced some fantastic writing. We are excited to help them to fulfil their full potential this year.

Year 3

Lower Transition have had a MARVELLOUS start to their first week of Year 3.
The children walked in smiling from ear to ear, excited to see their friends and new teachers. The children have fully emersed themselves within Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine’s story line and have created their very own recipe for a potion! In Maths, the children rose to their Place Value challenge and competed against the clock whilst putting their partitioning knowledge to the test.

Year 4

Transition came bounding into the classrooms on Wednesday with big smiles on their faces, ready to start their new year! Miss Kirk and Mrs Kottler have been very impressed with their enthusiasm and hard work so far. They’ve really enjoyed getting to know the children and their families through the creative and colourful family trees they made over the Summer, which are now displayed in the classrooms. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store!

Year 5

We have had a great first few days in Upper Trans. The children have settled straight back into the school routine and they are keen to hear all about the exciting things that await them this school year. It has been a pleasure to get to know the children and hear all about their wonderful summer holidays. It has already been a busy start to the school year and the children have enjoyed rising to every challenge they have been set. We have already been impressed by their hard work and resilience. We are really looking forward to the year ahead with them.

Year 6

It has been lovely to welcome our new Remove into the Year 6 area. They are buzzing with excitement about the year ahead and have reflected on the school badge and what it means to them. We are very much looking forward to our year ahead with them; supporting them in everything we know they will achieve. A great start to our journey Remove.

Summer Reading Challenge

I was delighted to hear so many of our children, across the school, took part in the Summer Reading Challenge this year!

From diving into action-packed adventures to exploring enchanting worlds of fantasy, your dedication and love for reading inspire us all!
