Dear Parents,
This week the whole school continued to celebrate and enjoy Black History Month, culminating today in the children participating in a captivating African Dance Workshop, led by a talented professional dancer. Our children immersed themselves in the rich culture and vibrant rhythms of Africa. They learnt set dance moves and experienced the uplifting power of African music first-hand.
This wonderful workshop provided an opportunity to appreciate the diversity and heritage of African cultures, whilst also nurturing their creativity and self-expression. We believe it is crucial to educate our children about the significant contributions of black individuals throughout history, and events like this dance workshop allow them to do just that.

Remove
This week Remove were delighted to have a visit from Wayne Dixon from Christian Connections. He is an incredible inspiration and a true role model. He shared his personal journey with our Year 6 children and took them on a captivating ride through his school experiences, his upbringing, and his teenage years. What truly left the children in awe was when Wayne spoke about his calling to follow God and how it has shaped his life and made him the person he is today. His words were powerful and deeply moving, leaving a lasting impact. He emphasised the importance of education, resilience in the face of challenges, whilst always staying true to oneself.

Gardening Club
We hope you have been enjoying the spectacular autumn colours that have taken over our beautiful school grounds. Our talented green-thumbed gardeners have been buzzing with activity this week, as they completed a remarkable transformation of our Peace Garden in preparation for the winter season. With a little bit of love and care, the garden is now ready to embrace the peaceful charms of winter.
They have restored the statue of St Francis, which is now standing proudly amidst our picturesque pebble garden. The statue embodies the spirit of nature and mindfulness. We're immensely proud of our Gardening Club members for their dedication and artistic eye in positioning the statue so perfectly. Our team also worked tirelessly to clear the garden beds, making sure every plant is tucked up for their cosy winter's rest. They've expertly pruned, weeded, and prepared the soil for a vibrant spring comeback. Alan Titchmarsh watch out!

Trans EK Assembly
This week we had a thought-provoking assembly with Trans EK, where we explored the marvellous world of books and the incredible impact they have on our lives. Trans EK reminded us how reading helps fuel our imagination, expand our vocabulary, and nurtures our spirituality.
