Dear Parents,

What a week it has been! We welcomed parents from Upper Trans and Remove, who participated in their Welcome Meetings. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces and new ones too.  Additionally, Mrs Thapar led an engaging RHE workshop on Monday, and for those who missed it, there will be another chance to attend this coming Monday at 3.45pm.

On Wednesday, we were treated to a heartfelt Liturgy from Lower Trans U, who shared their reflections on the significance of building bridges. They asked us all to try and build a bridge of friendship with someone every day.

This morning’s Assembly was equally inspiring, centred around the theme of hope. The positivity in the room was palpable and the children spoke with great confidence and enthusiasm.

Liturgy Lower Trans U

On Wednesday, the inspiring Lower Trans U delivered a beautiful Liturgy focused on the vital theme of Building Bridges. Together, they reminded us that God desires reconciliation, urging us to be friends with Him and with one another.

In a touching moment, our teachers, parents, and children shared the sign of peace, reinforcing the importance of community and connection. Let us  take this message to heart by smiling at our neighbours and offering friendship in our daily lives. Thank you, Lower Trans U, for this beautiful reminder of unity and compassion.

Assembly Upper Trans Y

This morning, Upper Trans Y led an assembly all about the importance of hope in our world. It is often easy to feel sad about the state of the world, but if we all hold hope and work together for a better world, we can make a difference. The children shared some of their hopes for the future and told us the story of Pandora's box and how hope has the power to overcome any calamity we may face. All of the children spoke beautifully and showed great confidence in their first assembly of the year.

Wellbeing Weekend Wisdom

As we approach the colder weather, why not get outside for a bit of mindfulness this weekend? It’s the perfect time of year to surround yourself in nature. Can you spot the first signs of autumn?

Spending time in nature can hugely benefit our physical and mental health. In fact, did you know that even spending just 15 to 20 minutes in a green space can lower stress hormones. You could even turn your walk into a scavenger hunt. Can you find acorns or conkers? How many trees are already starting to show their autumn colours? Can you spot a squirrel burying its food ready for the harder months ahead?

If you find something beautiful or interesting out on your walk, we would love to see it on Monday!

Sports News

Last week Friday our Under 10A and B Rugby Teams travelled to Gayhurst to play in the first contact fixture of the year. Some good all round play saw some fantastic tries being scored, and there were plenty of big hits and tackles on the field throughout the afternoon. Well done to all the players and a special well done to Harmanjot and Pranav for both being nominated as MVPs on the day.

U11 Netball Tournament at The Marist

On Wednesday our Under 11 Netball team travelled to The Marist School in Ascot to play in their annual High 5s Tournament. With some pretty tough opposition, our girls put up a good fight, and produced some decent netball throughout the afternoon. Well done to all the girls who played and a special well done to Christina for being selected as the Player of the Tournament.

Today we celebrated 'National Teaching Assistants Day' and I would like to finish by taking a moment to give a HUGE thank you to our incredible teaching assistants. Their hard work, dedication, and unwavering support play an invaluable role in shaping the futures of our children.

From providing personalised attention to ensuring every child feels included, they are the unsung heroes of our classrooms. Their impact stretches beyond the school day, helping to create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Have a lovely weekend!
