Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and had the chance to relax and spend quality time together as a family. It has been lovely to welcome the children back, refreshed and ready for another busy week at school.

This week, our Trans children have been away on their exciting residential trip to Longridge, and what a fantastic experience it has been. Throughout the trip, the children have demonstrated wonderful teamwork, resilience and determination whilst taking part in a wide range of outdoor and adventurous activities. These included team challenges, archery, aero ball, climbing wall activities and dragon boating, all of which encouraged the children to support one another, communicate effectively and step outside of their comfort zones.

It has been a joy to see the children grow in confidence, develop independence and build even stronger friendships during their time away. Whether cheering each other on during activities, working together to solve challenges or simply enjoying the experience of being outdoors together, the children have represented the school beautifully at every opportunity. Their teachers were incredibly proud of their positive attitudes, excellent behaviour and willingness to embrace every new experience.

A huge thank you must also go to Mrs Kimberley, Miss Bal and Mrs Macey for accompanying the children and supporting them throughout the trip. Their encouragement, care and enthusiasm helped to make the residential such a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. We are sure the children returned home with many wonderful memories from their Longridge adventure!

Music Achievements

I am thrilled to announce that a number of our children have recently achieved excellent results in their graded music examinations. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication and commitment they have shown whilst preparing for their performances. Below is a selection of some of our most recent achievements.

These fantastic results reflect not only the children’s musical talent, but also their perseverance, confidence and willingness to challenge themselves. Learning an instrument or developing vocal skills takes patience, practice and resilience, and we are delighted to see them rewarded for all of their efforts.

A huge congratulations to all of the children involved, and thank you to Dr Bunce and our wonderful peripatetic music teachers for their dedication, encouragement and expertise in supporting the pupils throughout their musical journeys. Their passion and commitment continue to inspire a love of music across the school, and we look forward to celebrating many more musical successes in the future!
