Dear Parents,

Our Year 4 class, Trans M, put on a beautiful assembly this morning with a very important message. Trans M shared The Starfish Story with us, which is a beautiful allegory conveying the message that one small action can make a world of difference. The children did a brilliant job, and I think we all learnt the value of making a positive contribution to situations, whether that be in our school work, relationships or out in the wider world. Well done Trans M.

Green fingers in Year 1

Year 1 have been busy in Science learning how things grow. This week they planted a tomato plant, a strawberry plant, pansy flowers, runner beans and sunflower seeds.

The children discussed all the elements needed for plants to grow. We're looking forward to seeing the results in the coming weeks.

Open Week and Stay & Play

As Covid-related restrictions continue to ease, we are delighted to be able to start showing prospective parents around St Bernard's Prep again. We are hosting an Open Week 17th -21st May for individual appointments and a Stay & Play on Saturday 22nd May in our Early Years department. If you know anyone who is looking to apply for a school place please do make them aware of these upcoming events.  If you could share the adverts on social media with your friends and family, that would be great. Thank you.

Have a wonderful weekend and look forward to seeing the children back in school on Monday morning, ready for another great week of learning.

Don't forget, Sports Team photos for Years 3 - 6 are on Wednesday 12th May. Mrs Buttar will send out a reminder next week.

Yours sincerely,

Mr N Cheesman
