At St Bernard’s Prep, we often talk about the "can-do" spirit that defines our school family. Our most recent results highlight a magnificent 88% 11+ pass rate for grammar school entry. This outstanding achievement is a testament to the hard work of our children, the dedication of our specialist teachers, and the vital support of our parents.

Spotlight on Academic and Mathematical Excellence

While our 11+ results are exceptional, our academic life goes far beyond entrance exams. We are incredibly proud to be ranked as the joint 7th Best Prep School in the UK by The Sunday Times. This ranking is a reflection of our consistent excellence, placing us in the top 0.6% of all prep and primary schools in England.

Our commitment to "teaching to the top" is nowhere more evident than in our Mathematics department:

• National Recognition: We are proud to be an NRich Problem-Solving School, recognising our commitment to embedding critical thinking at the heart of our curriculum.

• Mathematical Challenges: Our pupils regularly shine in the Primary Maths Challenge and the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge, frequently securing Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards against thousands of pupils nationally.

• SATs Success: In our latest recorded SATs, 100% of our pupils achieved the "Expected Standard" in Mathematics, with a significant majority reaching "Greater Depth," far surpassing national averages.

Success Beyond the Classroom

The breadth of our curriculum ensures that every child can find their niche. Over the past two years our leavers have received 19 independent school offers, including 3 Academic Scholarships and 2 Music Scholarships.

Our children have been welcomed into a wide range of prestigious schools, including St Paul’s Girls School, The Haberdashers’ Boys’ School, Lady Eleanor Holles, and City of London School. Whether it is winning national handwriting competitions or achieving 100% Distinctions in LAMDA, our pupils leave us as confident, well-rounded individuals.
